Where’s The Best Fishing In Eastern Iowa?

About this time last year, my therapist told me I should find a hobby. She said spending 5 days at the bar every week wasn't the best use of my time, and that I should try something new. We decided fishing would be that new thing, and I fell in love with it!

Little did she know, I'm actually drinking more while fishing, but that's for another blog. My good friend Kip Curl has been a good teacher, and I've gotten pretty good at this thing. We always catch a buzz, but not always a fish.

This summer we're in a little slump. I've been spending most of my time fishing on the Cedar at the Ellis Boat Harbor. I'm not sure what happened, but we've been struggling quite a bit. Maybe I'm talking too much and scaring the fish away, or maybe we need try out a new spot? It probably doesn't help that I take my cat along with me.

So let me ask you, where's the best fishing here in Eastern Iowa? I'm willing to travel up to 30 miles in any direction. Kip and I are planning to head out this Saturday to a new spot....please help us out!
