Where Does Iowa Rank Among Other States In Identity Theft?

Equifax is one of the nations largest credit reporting agencies. Last month, the company suffered a major data breach that affected an estimated 145 million American consumers. The hackers responsible for the breach accessed Social Security numbers, birth dates, addresses and even driver license numbers.

According to WalletHub, "2017 is on track to register the highest number of data breaches since the center began tracking them in 2005. As of October 10, nearly 8,000 breaches with access to more then one billion records had occurred."

WalletHub conducted a study across eight key metrics. I'm very happy to report that Iowa ranks dead last in states most vulnerable to identity theft and fraud. That's right, number 51 for the Hawkeye State! This is the first time I'm happy our state is at the bottom of a list.
