What Happens When Man Lies About Lost Wedding Ring

As kids we're taught that honesty is the best policy. But a man who had lost his wedding ring decided to lie to his wife and police instead of 'fessing up. And he made up a whopper of a story about being robbed.

CBS2 News reports the Ohio man told local police he was robed at knifepoint!

As cops searched for the suspects, officers who were reviewing the surveillance video discovered the truth...the man was never even approached by anyone!

So, after several hours of investigation, cops realized that the man made up the robbery story to avoid telling his wife he lost his wedding ring. Not cool.

The bad news is that the man will face charges for making a false police report.

But there is good news to end to the story: The husband eventually found his lost wedding ring. We just hope it wasn't discovered at his girlfriend's house!
