VIRAL VIDEO: Wisconsin Woman Thought She Met Rick Ross in Cancun

A video of a Wisconsin woman excitedly hanging out with a person she believed to be hip-hop star, Rick Ross is going viral.

Instead, the man who is not THE BOSS RICK ROSS but actually Darceal Gates, looked more than willing to play along.

It's a good thing too, because the result would've been super embarrassing if he straight away told Hannah, who is apparently from Wisconsin, that she had the wrong person.

One of the funniest comments on Gates' TikTok video was "Baby this is Rick FROM Ross" which got a legit chuckle out of me.

Anyway, I've been there when it comes to weird mistaken celeb encounters and it's kind of awkward. I was on a flight back from Texas when the person sitting next to me asked me if I played Major League Baseball. I didn't answer right away and they then followed up asking if I was Brendan Donovan. I said, "Sorry, I'm not him."

I looked up Brendan Donovan and I was even more surprised when I realized I looked nothing like the St. Louis Cardinals in-fielder.

So like I said, I get it and it appears Darceal Gates gets it too. He played along for Hannah avoiding the weirdness for a moment at least until he ran into her again the next morning at breakfast where he got their second run-in again on video and even told her the truth.

No harm no foul, and a great story for both Darceal and Hannah to remember for the rest of their lives.
