Vet’s THRIVE Adventure Rally to Help PTSD Vets

The Vet's THRIVE Foundation is hosting an Eastern Iowa Adventure Rally scavenger hunt on Sunday July 8 starting at 9:30 a.m. with a concert to follow at the Veteran's Memorial Building, 51 1st Ave. Cedar Rapids.

Their goal is to raise $10,000 to send five local veterans to a PTSD Holistic Retreat in Wisconsin.

Contestant teams will compete in an "amazing race" styled scavenger hunt, seeking clues by arriving first at area "pit-stops" in Cedar Rapids, Mt. Vernon, Lisbon and Ely.

The team that completes the challenges quickly and correctly will win the crown!

A live concert starting at 4:00 p.m. follows the race, featuring Warrior Songs and Jason Moon.

There will be food and beer tasting, a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction with proceeds to help THRIVE send those vets to a PTSD Retreat.
