U-Haul is giving free storage to college students that have been displaced by the coronavirus. According to KCCI, the company announced that U-Haul owned and operated facilities are offering college students affected by the coronavirus 30 days of free self-storage.

As we informed you earlier this week, many universities, including the University of Iowa, have turned to virtual instruction through online classes. This was done as a precaution to prevent the spread of the virus. Although the University of Iowa campus will remain open to those in need of the facilities, other schools have shut down campus. This has displaced many students and forced them to either find a way home or somewhere else to stay.

Due to the abrubt displacement, U-Haul has stepped in and is offering students a free space to store their belongings for a month. The company says that the free month is a limited time offer for new customers with a college ID. U-Haul also encourages students to act quickly, as they have limited availability. Students can contact the stores in person or by phone to redeem the offer.
