The Register's Annual Great Bike Ride Across Iowa (RAGBRAI) is underway, going into Day 3.

The route today goes from Indianola to Centerville, but as the participants wheeled into Indianola, it was reported that two of them got injured.

The riders' names have not been released but they are reportedly a 22-year-old woman and 57-year-old man who crashed while heading down a hill. An Indianola Police Captain says they "got tangled up", took a spill off their bikes, and were seriously hurt after hitting the pavement. They were sent to Des Moines hospitals for evaluation and treatment, with no further information available.

We hope to learn more about their conditions, as RAGBRAI rolls into Centerville today, en route to Fairfield, Burlington, and Keokuk, where the kickstands drop for the final stop of the season on Sunday.

CBS2 has the latest updates on the injuries as well as RAGBRAI news.
