Try Food from Around the World at a Big Iowa Festival This Summer
The summer of 2022 is gonna be a busy one here in Iowa! There are all sorts of great concerts and markets and festivals scheduled these next few months, including quite a few that are centered around my favorite thing: FOOD.
You'll be able to try all kinds of different food at the 2022 World Food & Music Festival in Des Moines this September! The three day event is set for Friday, September 16th through Sunday, September 18th at Western Gateway Park in Downtown Des Moines. The festival is in its 18th year and has grown exponentially since it started back in 2005. According to the official website, around 90,000 people visit the event each year!
If you're not familiar with the World Food & Music Festival, the website says:
"The event offers international cuisine, live music and performing arts, cooking demonstrations, interactive programs, wine and craft beers and much more."
Some of the countries represented at last year's festival include Thailand, Morocco, Mexico, Poland, Ukraine, Greece, Korea, Japan, and India. Here are a few delicious photos I found on Instagram:
As of right now, there's no official schedule or list of vendors for the 2022 World Food & Music Festival, but more details will arrive as we get closer to the event. You can check out the website for the latest details HERE.
Some of the food festivals on the 2022 schedule here in Eastern Iowa include Mac & Cheese Fest Dubuque, Center Point Pork Days, Solon Beef Days, the St. Ludmilla Kolach Festival, and more! You can get more information on all of them HERE.
