The Linn County Fair is Doing Virtual Contests This Year
We may not get to enjoy the Linn County Fair in-person this year, but there is a way that you can enjoy it virtually! According to KCRG, "the Linn County Fair Association is now accepting applications for contests for the 2020 Virtual Linn County Fair."
Back on May 7th, the Linn County Fair announced that the grandstand and grounds events at the 2020 fair would be canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic. The decision was not an easy one, but there is some good news! The fair board has found a way to let people experience some of the fair fun from the safety of their own homes. The official announcement quoted Linn County Fair Board Vice President Jennifer Dunn. She said that “the Association is continuing to look for ways the community can enjoy some favorite fair events virtually during the 2020 fair week and will share plans as they are finalized.” It looks like those plans are finally complete, because you can now sign up for various virtual contests through the fair's website!
