The Iowa Football team will take on The Michigan Wolverines Saturday night in Iowa City. The game will be televised nationally by ABC. Kick off is set for 7:12 p.m.

According to a Cedar Rapids bookie, Iowa is a 21 point underdog. I can't tell you the bookie's name, for obvious reasons. Let's just call him "Jimmy."

"Jimmy" tells us the line opened at 18.5 and quickly went up to 21. This means the public thinks Michigan will win this game by more then three touchdowns.

I disagree with the public. I think the Hawks will play their hearts out. This is a nationally televised game, and it's under the lights. This Iowa team will rise to the occasion...I hope so, anyway.

It's a late start, 7:12 p.m. to be exact. If you tailgate, make sure to pace yourself. You can't start drinking early for this one. Sleep in, rake the leaves, and hang out with the cat for a few hours. Grab a coffee and slowly make your way down to the game.

2:00 p.m. is a perfect time to have your first beer of the day. By the time the game starts, you'll be feeling great. I've made the mistake of starting my tailgating to early. You want to remember this game, trust me.

"Jimmy" asked If I wanted to make a bet on the game. I told him if it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. No wagering for me. I did make a lunch bet with a co-worker down the hall from me here at 94.1 KRNA. I'm thinking tacos at the Hacienda in downtown Cedar Rapids for my victory meal on Monday afternoon.

21-20 is my final score prediction. The Hawks get a big win in front of a national audience. You heard it hear first, folks. Give "Jimmy" a call and thank me in the morning.
