The 5 Eastern Iowa Restaurants With the Best Wine Selection

When it comes to wine, quite a few Iowa eateries know what they're doing!

Wine Spectator magazine has posted their list of the Best Restaurants for Wine in 2019, and five Eastern Iowa restaurants have been recognized! According to the website:

"Wine Spectator's Restaurant Awards recognize restaurants whose wine lists offer interesting selections, are appropriate to their cuisine and appeal to a wide range of wine lovers."

100 restaurants across the globe were given the Grand Award, 1,244 restaurants were given the Best of Award of Excellence, and 2,447 restaurants were given the Award of Excellence. All five Eastern Iowa restaurants that were recognized made the Award of Excellence list. The article states:

"These wine lists, which offer at least 90 selections, feature a well-chosen assortment of quality producers, along with a thematic match to the menu in both price and style. Whether compact or extensive, focused or diverse, these lists deliver sufficient choice to satisfy discerning wine lovers."
