Teen’s Miraculous Act Saves Baby Who Stopped Breathing at Walmart
A fast-acting teenager became a hero after she stepped in to save the life of a baby.
Abby Snodgrass, 17, performed CPR on an 11-month-old baby who stopped breathing while inside a High Ridge, Missouri Walmart last week.
Snodgrass, who recently learned CPR in a health class at school, ran over from a few aisles away to save the day:
“The one thought that crossed my mind was, ‘What if this doesn’t work?’ And I just had to push it out of my mind and keep going because I knew that’s what I had to do,”
The baby returned home and seems to be fine. Emergency crews say without Snodgrass, the child may have died.
