Take A Short Road Trip To Check Out These Shows…

You gotta love this time of year with so much going on.  Warmer weather definitely means an increase in opportunities to see great live shows.  It gets me thinking... ROAD TRIP!  Some great concerts are coming to Iowa this summer. Fill the car up with gas, pack some snacks, grab some tunes and go check out a show! These are just three concerts I'm eyeballing this summer...

• Chris Cornell at the Adler Theatre in Davenport July 12th... his Higher Truth Tour is coming to the Hawkeye state next month.  Higher Truth, which came out in September 2015, features the single, "Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart".  It's a chance to see a legendary vocalist that's been a part of the mighty Soundgarden, Temple of the Dog and Audioslave.
• Cage The Elephant at 7 Flags Event Center in Clive July 14th... this Kentucky band is one of KRNA's biggest artists.  They're doing a bunch of shows in 2016 in support of their fourth studio album, Tell Me I'm Pretty, which came out in December 2015.
• Deftones at 7 Flags Event Center in Clive August 17th... it's been over 20 years since this California band released their debut album, Adrenaline.  Frontman Chino Moreno and the boys are still getting it done 16 years after their platinum-selling album, White Pony.  Their most recent album, Gore entered the Billboard 200 charts at #3 back in April.
