In a video that almost seems to show the direct defiance of the laws of physics, a vehicle could be seen flipping through the air like a toy after striking a runaway tire.

The crash happened early Tuesday morning near Gary, Indiana according to the Indiana State Police.

A tire had fallen off of a semi, rolling along the interstate upright if it were still attached. The vehicle recording the incident just narrowly misses the tire, and it slowly rolled into the next lane.

Moments later, an SUV runs directly into it, so perfectly that the tire launches the car into the air like it's a toy. When it lands, it flips several times before coming to a stop.

The tire, on the other hand, continues to roll along completely unaffected, spitting in the face of Isaac Newton.

According to Indiana State Police, the group recording the video stopped and helped the driver.

Despite how severe the accident looks, officials say no serious injuries were sustained in the accident.

LOOK: Here are the 50 best beach towns in America

Every beach town has its share of pluses and minuses, which got us thinking about what makes a beach town the best one to live in. To find out, Stacker consulted data from WalletHub, released June 17, 2020, that compares U.S. beach towns. Ratings are based on six categories: affordability, weather, safety, economy, education and health, and quality of life. The cities ranged in population from 10,000 to 150,000, but they had to have at least one local beach listed on TripAdvisor. Read the full methodology here. From those rankings, we selected the top 50. Readers who live in California and Florida will be unsurprised to learn that many of towns featured here are in one of those two states.

Keep reading to see if your favorite beach town made the cut.
