Structure Fire Destroys Cedar Rapids Home

According to CBS2, "A structure fire destroyed a single manufactured home in the 6000 block of Southwest Cedar Rapids."

Crews were dispatched to 6523 South Avenue SW around 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoon. Firefighters saw smoke coming out of the house, and made sure there were no occupants inside.

Firefighters were able to extinguish the blaze and there were no reports of injuries. The fire is now under investigation. We will continue to monitor this story and provide updates as soon as we learn more information.
