Cedar Rapids Gas Station Asks Customers to Stay Behind Blue Line
Life sure is weird these days, wouldn't you say?
I went to Casey's last night to grab a pack of chewing gum and fill up my tank. I approached the counter, like I always do, but I was told to get back.
The cashier, who was very cool about it, said there is a new rule at Casey's. You must stand behind the blue line that's on the floor. The goal is to keep customers away until they have to pay.
How it works is you tell them what you need, wait for the cashier to ring up the sale, and then you can give your money to the person behind the counter. Seems a bit weird, but that's our world these days.
I was at the Casey's on Council Street on the N.E. side of Cedar Rapids. I know they are doing the blue line rule, but other locations rules couldn't be confirmed. They did confirm that their hours will be changing. Most Casey's stores will be shifting things to be open from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Be safe out there!
