St. Paddy’s Day Forecast Looks Good

I have good news for all of the Paddy's Day party animals in here Eastern Iowa!

According to weather.com, the forecast looks pretty good for Cedar Rapids on March 17th. The latest St Patrick's Day prediction shows a high temperature of 43 degrees with 0% chance of rain or snow. With the crappy weather we've had this year, it's going to feel like summer on St Patrick's Day!

St Patrick's Day is always huge for Cedar Rapids bars and restaurants. But just ask any owner, weather plays a HUGE part in how big the day can be. If it's cold, people won't bar hop. They will also go home early and not want to stay out late.

When the weather is nice, some owners have seen sales double from years with cold weather. With the forecast that I'm seeing, it's almost perfect. It's sweatshirt weather and we won't be wet. I just hope they're right!

Whatever you plan to do this year, just make sure you get home safe. If you plan to drink, have a designated driver.
