Southwest Flight From Chicago Makes Emergency Landing
Thankfully, the plane landed safely and there were no reports of injuries. Flight 957 had 76 passengers on board. The Associated Press is reporting some of the passengers heard popping, and people sitting next to the window moved away as quick as they could.
Back on April 17th, Southwest had a plane experience engine failure that sent debris flying and broke out a window. This was the incident that killed passenger Jennifer Riordan, of Albuquerque, New Mexico.
Executives at Southwest told the AP that sales have been very slow since the engine failure on April 17th. The drop in sales since from that incident will cost the airline between $50 million and $100 million.
