Soccer Chant Sounds Like Nine Different Phrases, Depending On What You Read
A video uploaded by a guy named Kegan Stiles has racked up nearly 12 million views in three days because it's unsure what the audio he's playing is saying.
It's getting as popular as the infamous dress arguments of 2015, or that annoying Yanny/Laurel arguments.
Some people say those who watch or attend soccer games will recognize the chant and only hear "That is embarrassing" chanted over and over.
"Whatever I read while listening is the one I hear," one person commented on the TikTok video, which is the point.

Kegan shows nine different phrases on the screen, with an audio clip of a group of fans chanting.
Whichever phrase you read will be what you hear, with multiple options that vary in word length and syllables:
- "Bart Simpson Bouncing"
- "Rotating Pirate Ship"
- "This Isn't My Receipt"
- "Lobsters in Motion"
- "That is Embarrassing"
- "Lactates in Pharmacy"
- "I'm Chasing Martian"
- "Baptism Piracy"
- "That Isn't Mercy"
I can hear all nine, plus "That is a person."
What do you hear?
