Santa was in Cedar Rapids on Sunday afternoon!

According to KCRG, "An Annual event at the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena gave families a chance to hang out with St. Nicholas himself on Sunday"

Families were able to decorate cookies, get their faces painted and of course, hang out with Santa.The event was huge success and organizers said it was the biggest turnout they have ever had.

The highlight of the day was when Santa laced up and skated with the kids. What a cool thing for these young people to experience right before Christmas. I want to thank the Cedar Rapids Ice Arena for doing this and I hope it continues for many more years.

I saw some video footage and it looked like Santa knew what he was doing on the ice! Let's just hope he gets plenty of rest as this is a busy week for the old guy.
