Here in Cedar Rapids, there will be a "Peaceful Protest" in Green Square Park this Saturday, June 6th. The event will begin at 5 p.m. and and wrap up a few hours later. I spoke with organizers of the event, and they told me the intent is to keep everything peaceful with this demonstration.
Whether you're in Cedar Falls or Cedar Rapids, just be safe out there. I hope folks here in Eastern Iowa can show the rest of the world that you can protest without violence and looting.
Have a great weekend!
