Shots Fired In Cedar Rapids

According to KCRG, "A man was arrested on Sunday night after a report of shots being fired in a southeast Cedar Rapids neighborhood, according to law enforcement."

The incident happened in the 1200 block of 12th Avenue on the SW side of Cedar Rapids. Police responded to multiple reports of shots fired in the neighborhood. There was an officer in the area that also heard the shots.

A vehicle was spotted leaving the scene driven by Deondre Justin Scott.  After pulling the car over, police conducted a search and found a handgun in vehicle.  Scott was charged with reckless use of firearm and interference with official acts.

There were no injuries to report but there was damage to a vehicle in the 1500 block of 14th Avenue SE. Scott is being held at the Linn County Jail in Cedar Rapids.
