Ruth’s Chris Steak House Will Finally Open in Iowa Next Week

The time is near! After months and months of waiting, Iowa's first Ruth's Chris Steak House will open this month!

Located at 950 Jordan Creek Parkway in West Des Moines, Ruth's Chris Steak House is a brand new restaurant with 15,000 square-feet of indoor space and 3,300 square-feet of patio space. According to the official website, "the restaurant features three bars: One on the main floor, a bar on the second floor, and a third bar within a private dining room. The multi-story restaurant also features wine lockers, a double-sided fireplace, valet parking, and a multi-level parking garage." It can seat around 400 guests!

It was initially reported earlier this summer that Ruth's Chris in West Des Moines would be opening its doors on July 31st, but it looks like the date was pushed back at some point. The website now lists August 14th as the grand opening date, with guests able to begin making reservations on Wednesday, August 9th.

The Ruth's Chris in West Des Moines will be offering lunch, dinner, and brunch on Saturdays & Sundays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Some of the items on the brunch and lunch menu include Filet & Spicy Crab, Creole Biscuits, Cajun Tenderloin Eggs Benedict, Barbequed Shrimp, Stuffed Chicken Breast, and Lobster Mac & Cheese. The dinner menu offers a few of the same items, but features a wider variety of steaks and chops. There's the Classic Filet, New York Strip, Ribeye, T-Bone, Lamb Chops, Berkshire Pork Chop, and more. All of "Ruth's Favorites" are highlighted in red, like the Sizzling Blue Crab Cakes, the Bone-In New York Strip, and the Lobster Bisque.

If you plan on visiting the new Ruth's Chris here in Iowa, make sure you follow the dress code! The website reads:

"We require our guests to not wear clothing with exposed undergarments, revealing tops that show excessive midriff or cleavage, offensive graphics, gym wear, bucket hats or baseball hats. Hats and team support jerseys are welcome in our bar areas.  We kindly ask all guests to remove their hats when entering the dining room."

The hours for Ruth's Chris Steak House in West Des Moines are as follows:

• Monday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. (lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
• Friday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (lunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
• Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. (brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
• Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.)
