If you're entertained by comedians "making stuff up" on the fly, I encourage you to check out this event.

My improv class and I are bonding nicely these days, and we're even talking about doing a "field trip", getting together to see "Whose Live Anyway?" when it comes to Cedar Falls.

It's the live version of "Whose Line is It Anyway?" You remember that show, don't you? It originated in the UK, then came stateside, initially hosted by Drew Carey. A group of comedians were put together to "improv(ise)" scenes and scenarios, much to the cackling delight of the audience, who was often asked to vaguely suggest a word, phrase or scenario to get them started.

The show is still airing, with host Aisha Tyler at the helm. I believe it's on the "CW" network (check local listings, as they say).

The TV version features a rotating cast, but the one coming for the Cedar Falls event includes familiar veterans Ryan Stiles and Greg Proops, as well as Jeff Davis and Joel Murray. You can see them live at Gallagher-Bluedorn Performing Arts Center on Tuesday, October 2. Tickets are now available starting at $35, but going extremely fast.

If you would love to see some gut-busting entertainment in person, get more information on Facebook. Check out a quick clip below if by some chance you're unfamiliar with the show, or with Improv performing.
