We have a winner!

Winter is unofficially here with the arrival of snow, but exactly when did it hit the 1" mark in Linn County?

According to our Weather First media partners at CBS2/Fox28 TV and the National Weather Service, we have confirmed that the official 1" snow measurement occurred on Monday October 28 in the 11:00 p.m. hour.

Congratulations to Jodi Norsworthy, who correctly guessed the day and hour of the first one inch of snow officially arriving in Linn County.

For her efforts Jodi wins a super sized KDAT prize pack including 2 tickets to a big secret Spring 2020 concert that has yet to be announced!

It's a show you won't want to miss! (and we'll be announcing the concert very soon)

Now that the first snow has fallen we hope you're not disappointed, because there is more snow on the way Wednesday and Thursday. And so far it's anyone's guess as to how much total accumulation we can expect.
