While entertainment is definitely not the foremost thought when lives are at stake, it, too, can be effected by treacherous weather.

Such was the case Monday night in Ames, where the Gazette says a "Dancing With the Stars Live" event had to be cancelled after the show's tour bus was involved in a weather-related crash. It was not confirmed if it was the same crash that halted traffic for hours Monday on I-35, which included at least one fatality.

A news release noted that cast and crew of the show were fine, aside from a few minor injuries.

There was certainly not much to dance about on Monday. Much of Iowa saw several inches of snow, visibility problems and slick travel conditions, causing numerous accidents--and, as previously mentioned, weather-related fatalities.
