Popular Mexican Restaurant Opens New Corridor Location Tuesday
An Iowa's News Now report from earlier this year indicated Marion was getting its Pancheros location by "early April". That was in January, way before this pandemic thing. It's now the last day of July as I write this and excited Marion residents got the news that Pancheros will open Tuesday, August 4. Their grand opening will be that day from 10:30 a.m.-10 p.m.
According to Facebook, "attention Marion, our burrito-building building is finally… built! Come on down to see what Burritos Better Built are all about. We can’t wait to serve you soon."
Nearby resident Brittany Baily says the neighborhood is "super excited"! "It will bring a lot of jobs to this side of town and we always like getting new restaurants near us!" It's located at 6095 Carlson Way, Suite A in addition to 4 in Cedar Rapids, one in North Liberty, and another in Coralville, according to the restaurant's website.
Applications for "Burrito Engineers" were still being distributed and accepted as of noon Friday, July 31. "Squaw Creek Crossing" as it will be called already has a Pizza Ranch with some rumored further developments of a hotel and steakhouse planned. It sure looks like there will be plenty of room.
Via a quick phone call, I learned that the initial hours for the new Pancheros once it opens will be 10:30 a.m. to midnight on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and 10:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.
