Police Looking for Suspect in Jewelry Robbery Near Lindale Mall
Last month thousands of dollars worth of loose diamonds were stolen from a Cedar Rapids jewelry store. Police have now released images of the suspect.
On October 15 around 11:15 a.m., police were called to Jared The Galleria of Jewelry at 159 Collins Rd. NE near Lindale Mall in regards to a theft. According to the CRPD, the suspect "allegedly reached over the counter and stole several thousand dollars' worth of loose diamonds that were in a box."
Police have just released pictures of the suspect described as "a black man wearing tan pants, work boots and a denim jacket with a fur collar, who is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and 175 pounds," according to KCRG. Surveillance photos can be seen in the CRPD post below along with the circumstances surrounding the theft.
