Seriously, what could be more pandemic proof than pizza? Apparently for Iowa based family pizza chain Pizza Ranch, not too much. The Sioux City Journal reports the brand added five new locations last year and has its sights set on six or even seven more openings slated for this year, 2021.

Currently, Pizza Ranch, which is based in Orange City, has over 200 locations in 14 different states. Pizza Ranch's Chief Administrative Officer Ryan Achterhoff told the Sioux City Journal that even with the expansion, the past year has been challenging for Pizza Ranch, noting the chain weathered it by becoming more reliant on carryout and deliveries in 2020.
