One of my favorite pizza joints here in Eastern Iowa is shutting its doors in June! According to their official Facebook page, P.H.A.T. Daddy's will no longer be operating a restaurant in the Amana Colonies. But, that doesn't mean they're done with the pizza business! The post reads:

"After 4 years at our location in the Amana Colonies, P.H.A.T. Daddy's Wood-Fired Restaurant will be closing our doors sometime in the next few weeks (exact date yet to be determined). We have been overwhelmed with support from our many friends & loyal customers. We will miss you all."

The good news is, you will still be able to eat their delicious food. The post goes on to say that their catering business will "keep going without missing a beat." We got word from the owner yesterday that they will be operating out of Marengo, which is where they got their start initially. We don't have word on an exact location, but rest assured, you'll get your wood-fired pizza!

P.H.A.T. Daddy's is a place that Brain and I know very well. We did Listener Lunch there for the first time last year and we fell in love! They offer so many delicious and unique types of pizza, including crab rangoon, bacon mac & cheese, and chicken alfredo (all pictured below). We will miss their Amana location, but we're happy to hear that they will still be in business!
