Liberty High School has cancelled all classes and activities today. The district released a press release that said the following:

"Law enforcement received a credible threat to "shoot up the school" late yesterday evening including references to individual students. The investigation continued throughout the night and is unresolved this morning. To insure the safety of students and staff, all classes and activities have been cancelled today at Liberty High School. Classes at all other schools in the district will be held as normal."

Another release was sent by the city this morning. It stated that Police got reports of a chat on Instagram that threatened harm at the new Liberty High School today. An individual student was named in the chat. This morning at 9:30, "the person responsible for the threat was taken into custody... Because the suspect is a minor, additional information will not be released."

According to a release from the school district, the school will reopen for staff a 1:00 p.m. today.
