Business is booming at NewBo City Market.

In 2012, it came to Cedar Rapids, allowing new, small local businesses to test the waters before branching out into bigger things.

The Market has been a huge success and asset to the community, and now, its hours are expanding. Since that opening seven years ago, its days of operation have been limited to Thursday through Sunday. Add Wednesday to the calendar now, too.

Starting this Wednesday, April 17, NewBo City Market will open for its fifth day of the week with some special features. "Wine Not?! Wednesday” will offer free wine samples from Cedar Ridge, Fireside, Kirkwood and Wooden Wheel from 5 to 8 p.m.

Additionally, every Wednesday through August, join the fun for free bingo nights from 6-8 p.m., where you can score prizes from local businesses.

The Wednesday hours will be from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., same as Thursday and Friday. They are open 10-6 Saturday and 10-4 Sunday.

Fill your calendar with another day of fun, shopping and support for local entrepreneurs.
