Nathan Stanley has been named starting Quarterback for the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Iowa kicks off the season at Kinnick Stadium this Saturday at 11:00 a.m. against the Wyoming Cowboys.

CBS2/FOX 28 has posted the news following an early morning tweet from Voice of the Hawkeyes Gary Dolphin.

Nathan Stanley and junior Tyler Wiegers have been in competition forthe QB starting position in training camp and spring practice.

Stanley is Iowa's first true sophomore to open the season as the starter since Drew Tate did so in 2004.
