Back in June, Muse returned with their seventh full-length, Drones, and now, the English rockers have shared the first four dates of their upcoming U.S. tour behind their latest album.

Muse will head to the states on Dec. 13 when they will play a concert at the Moda Center in Portland. Then, they have three shows scheduled in California, including stops in Oakland, San Diego and L.A. from Dec. 15-18. You can get more information at the band’s website; tickets go on sale this Friday (Sept. 25). Phantogram are slated as the opening act.

Known for major, state-of-the-art live productions fitting of their arena-ready sound, Muse previously hinted at lofty plans for their Drones tour -- which involved flying actual drones overhead.

“Drones are obviously an interesting thing to try to bring into the live show, so we’re going to try and do that,” frontman Matt Bellamy said. “There’s going to be some difficulty with red tape of health and safety about flying things over, but the general idea is that as the tour stars that we’ll be using flying objects.”

Whether or not those plans will come to fruition for Bellamy is yet to be seen, but regardless, it sounds like the band has a larger-than-life live show planned for fans, including a stage at the center of the four arenas allowing for a 360-degrere experience.
