Motorcycle/Truck Accident Victim Airlifted to Hospital

It's the worst thing to report following a nice spring day where temperatures actually hit 70 degrees in Cedar Rapids.

Cedar Rapids Police say one person is seriously injured following a truck motorcycle  accident at 6th St. and America Dr. SW on Saturday. That accident happened around 6:30 p.m.  The name of the injured person has not yet been released, but cops say the injuries were serious. The victim was airlifted to the hospital.

With warm weather it is very important for motorists to remember to check for motorcycles, bikes, joggers and pedestrians.

It's also important to ride, bike, walk and run with caution because you just never know if a distracted driver notices you.
