She's a survivor!

Over in Oxford, Iowa, there's a non-profit organization called the Iowa Farm Sanctuary. According to their official website, the group provides a "safe haven to rescued farm animals in need of love and compassion while providing humans the opportunity to experience the unique sentience and intelligence found within these animals." The farm is home to over 80 animals, including cows, pigs, goats, sheep, chickens, and more!

One of the residents at the Iowa Farm Sanctuary is Angel, a miniature zebu that had a challenging start to her life. The website reads:

"Angel is a miniature zebu calf who was surrendered to IFS after being born with rear limb differences. Angel was born without the use of her back legs, and while we were hopeful that there would be a way for her to regain their use, we were crushed to learn that it was not a possibility. Now, Angel is experiencing mobility and independence with her wheels from Walkin’ Pets!"

Angel is a spunky little cow that makes friends with everyone she meets! With the help of her custom cart, she's able to mingle with some of the other cows, including Ellie and her "seeing eye cow" Pumpkin. She's also best friends with a dog named Davey. Her story is so inspirational that there's even a book about her from The Dodo! It's called Comeback Kids: Three Animals Who Overcame the Impossible, and you can purchase it on Amazon.
