Medical Marijuana Is Coming To Iowa by 2018
The State of Iowa has finally done it. And for many, it's long overdue.
On Tuesday it was announced the Iowa Department of Public Health would license and allow MedPharm Iowa of Des Moines to grow marijuana and manufacture products to be used for a variety of medicinal purposes.
The company is required to be manufacturing by December 1, 2018. According to the Gazette, the State of Iowa is to issue up to five licenses for medical cannabis dispensaries by April.
Medical Marijuana products could be prescribed and used to treat epilepsy, cancer, MS, HIV, AIDS and other illnesses.
Advocates are glad that the state of Iowa will allow the progress of medicinal marijuana to be used for it's obvious health and scientific benefits.
