A 28-year-old man from Nevada is facing multiple charges after a chase Thursday ended with a crash into a cement wall.

According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched after calls about a drunk driver driving at high speeds.

When police located the vehicle, they observed it driving at speeds exceeding 100mph with its airbags deployed.

Deputies attempted to initiate a traffic stop at a stop light, but when the light turned green, the driver took off.

Officers followed the vehicle and noted it couldn't stay in its own lane, but traveling between 35 and 45mph.

The driver abruptly stopped the car after narrowly missing a traffic pole, before throwing the car in reverse and nearly hitting a squad car. They then pulled into a fast food station parking lot to hide, but officers were right behind them.

Deputies ordered the driver to get out of the vehicle, but they rammed the car into a cement wall first. The driver then wouldn't comply with getting out of the vehicle, and when the officer lifted the airbag curtain, the suspect was lighting a cigarette.

Inside the vehicle was a spilled Modelo tall can, which prompted a breath test, resulting in a .404 BAC.

His charges list:

  • Second DUI
  • Failure to maintain a lane
  • Driving without a valid driver’s license
  • Driving with an open container in the vehicle
  • Failure to lead to an emergency vehicle
  • Driving without proof of insurance
