Louisiana Man Cleans Out Huge Iowa Lottery Prize
There's an old saying, you can't win if you don't play. Never is that more true than when you encounter someone who is just a guest visiting somewhere... and they run into a tremendous amount of luck.
If you're the type who likes to try your hand at a lottery game (or two) when in a new state, you'll have to speak up if you had the kind of luck this lottery player, visiting Iowa from Louisiana had when he was in Marshalltown recently. He grabbed his ticket from a local Casey's General Store.
Aaron Strother of Glenmora, Louisiana was able to score a huge payday when he played "The Perfect Gift" scratch game. A seasonal scratch-off ticket that ended up being worth a massive $10,000!
According to the Iowa Lottery's website, "The "Perfect Gift" is a $20 scratch game that features 13 top prizes of $25,000, 16 prizes of $10,000, and overall odds of 1 in 2.64. Obviously, you can scratch one of those 16 10K prizes off the board, they're heading back to Louisiana with Aaron.
Just before Christmas a $10,000 lottery win certainly won't hurt. If you've recently purchased a holiday scratch game that didn't win you the big bucks, you can still enter it to win the Holiday Cash Bash Play It Again contest.
Does it count as Iowa nice when someone from out of state comes to town and wins a major lottery prize? Let's assume it does. We're a jolly bunch in Iowa, after all!
