Lion Bridge Brewing, the popular Czech Village brewery announced it will be canning four of its beers and making them available at beer retail stores in Eastern Iowa, including Hy-Vee, Fareway, independent grocery stores and beer retailers.

“It’s exciting to get to this point where I can go to a store and see the beer we crafted on the shelf,” said Quinton McClain, brewery manager and founder. “We believe the quality of our beer is on par with anything you can find on the shelf and we want it to be available to more people.”

In 2014, the McClains opened Lion Bridge Brewing Co. at 59 16th Ave. SW, Cedar Rapids, after spending 5 months renovating the former Joens Bros. Interiors building, a structure on the National Register of Historic Places.

The name, Lion Bridge, was inspired by the Bridge of Lions that crosses the Cedar River and connects New Bohemia to Czech Village. Since then, they’ve produced several award-winning brews and have built quite a loyal following.

The four craft beers being canned and distributed are Compensation, Yard Sale, Bridge Beer, and Centaurus.
