Linn County Sheriff Needs Public’s Help Identifying Motorcyclist
Authorities say this motorcyclist led authorities on a high-speed chase Tuesday night. They even know the logo on the jacket the rider was wearing.
According to a release from the Linn County Sheriff's Department, they believe the man above was part of a large group that was traveling at a high rate of speed westbound on Highway 100. One cyclist was stopped but the others eluded deputies.
The high-speed chase, involving the man above, started in Palo at around 10:30 Tuesday night. It continued north to Center Point, south on Interstate 380, west through Toddville and Palo, and south on Covington Road in southwest Cedar Rapids. A Linn County Sheriff deputy then ended the chase near Stoney Point Road and 16th Avenue SW.
The black motorcycle, at top, had no license plates and was driven by a white man with a black helmet and blue t-shirt. The logo on the shirt is below.
Anyone who has information on the person's identity is asked to call the Linn County Sheriff's Office at (319) 398-3911 or Crime Stoppers of Linn County at (800) 272-7463.
