If you have a friend or family member stuck inside the Linn County Jail, you won't be able to visit them anytime soon.

According to the Cedar Rapids Gazette, "Visiting inmates will end Sunday at the Linn County Correctional Center."

The jail, however, will allow allow inmates to send out free letters to people on the outside. At least they have that option, so there's a little bit of good news.

The jail is also working with their phone provider to give inmates free additional phone calls so they can stay in contact with their friends and family. So, phone calls and letter only starting this Sunday, March 22nd.

No word on when the jail will be allowing visits. We will continue to follow this story and provide updates as soon as we learn more.
