The city of Lisbon is the first in the area to announce a curfew due to the coronavirus.

In a message on the Lisbon Police Department Facebook page and also on the city's website, Lisbon Mayor Doug O'Connor said the curfew is in effect from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. each day. It says "The City of Lisbon is concerned about the unnecessary spread of the COVID-19 virus and would like to do its part to prevent further unnecessary spread."

The statement from the mayor goes on to say that during those hours, "residents may still travel to and from work. Residents may also drive to a gas station, grocery store, seek medical treatment or any other essential location."

The curfew started last night and is in effect until further notice. You can see the full post here.
