Law Enforcement Concerned For Missing Child Seen in Iowa
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children has sent us an alert for a child that was taken by his parents more than a month ago. She was seen, with her parents, earlier this week in Iowa.
Dakota Ray was taken by her parents William and Jessica Ray on April 15 in Camden, South Carolina. The release states that law enforcement believes William and Jessica are heavy users of methamphetamine and "law enforcement is concerned for the child's wellbeing."
Monday, May 14 the three were seen on surveillance images at an Iowa hospital. They are traveling in a 1996 gold Ford Aerostar van and may be changing the license plates on the vehicle frequently. Camden Police believe they are sleeping in the vehicle and the parents may be asking strangers for money or begging.
These surveillance images are from Monday, May 14.
Here is the description of the three, provided by the NCMEC:
- Dakota is 2 years old. She is 2 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 25 pounds and has blonde hair and blue eyes.
