Buy something on Amazon you decide you don't need or want after all? Kohl's stores will soon be a "point of return" for that merchandise.

Kohl's, which already allows customers to return their Amazon purchases at about 100 stores, will be expanding it to their more than 1,150 locations around the nation this summer.

You'll be able to return the eligible Amazon items to Kohl's stores even if you don't have a box or label and it's FREE. Amazon products are being carried in about 20 percent of Kohl's stores, but expect that to increase with this new return initiative that begins in July.

Kohl's CEO Michelle Gass said in a media release,

We are thrilled to bring Amazon Returns at Kohl’s to all of our stores across the country. Amazon and Kohl’s have a shared passion in providing outstanding customer service, and this unique partnership combines Kohl’s strong nationwide store footprint and omnichannel capabilities with Amazon’s reach and customer loyalty. This new service is another example of how Kohl’s is delivering innovation to drive traffic to our stores and bring more relevance to our customers.

I think this is a terrific move by Kohl's to get more people in their stores, something vital in today's retail environment. Kohl's shareholders agreed as company stock went up 8 percent after the news was announced. Kohl's stock is up 22 percent in the last year.
