UPDATE: Missing Southeastern Iowa Teen Found Safe
[UPDATE 8/9 1:35 pm] A missing eastern Iowa girl, who was named in an endangered person advisory has been found safe.
KCCI says that Kaylee Arnold is being reunited with her family.
[ORIGINAL STORY] Authorities in eastern Iowa have issued an endangered person advisory for a missing 13-year-old girl.
The Iowa Department of Public Safety issued the endangered person advisory on behalf of the Davis County Sheriff's Office. Davis County borders Missouri in extreme southeastern Iowa.
According to the advisory, Kaylee Arnold was reported missing Tuesday night, August 8. She was last seen at approximately 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at a Casey's Store in Eldon. The city of Eldon is southeast of Ottumwa and is located in Wapello County, north of Davis County.
The Iowa Department of Public Safety says that "Based on information discovered during the investigation, law enforcement considers Kaylee endangered."
Kaylee Arnold is 4'11" tall and weighs 90 pounds. Tuesday night, she was wearing blue jeans, dark shoes, and a gray shirt that said "Camp Wapello 2011" across the back. She has dark brown eyes and her hair is dyed red. Both of Arnold's ears are piercd, as well as her left nostril.
According to our news partner, KCRG TV-9, endangered person advisories are "used more broadly than an Amber Alert and include missing people in danger due to disabilities, disease, or an abduction."
