The Quad Cities’ Newest Pet Hotel Gives Your Pets A Better Vacation Than You
A new spot is opening in the Quad Cities, with the mission to give your dog the best stay they possibly could have, whether that's when they're being boarded during your vacation or just need someone to watch them for the day.
Premium care, premium experience, and premium units make up this new pet resort and doggy daycare off of Kimberly Road.
K9 Resorts is part of a larger company with 21 locations nationwide.
Started in New Jersey, brothers Steve and Jason Parker began their pet sitting business at the ages of 14 and 12 out of just pure love for dogs.. They never saw it being their careers, until 2002, when Steve flew to a national pet sitters conference and saw the success of other pet sitters.
"In 2005, we purchased a commercial building in Fanwood, NJ and had it custom engineered and constructed to be one of the finest pet care facilities in the nation. Due to the unparalleled level of service offered, K9 Resorts was an immediate success and became the only facility in New Jersey that is rated # 1 by multiple major publications! This is something we are enormously proud of," the founders wrote on their website.
Locally, owner Nick Roman had a simple reason for joining the franchise.
"I wanted somewhere for my dogs to stay that was nice as where I was going," he said. So, he decided to bring that quality to the Quad Cities.
On Saturday, July 9th, the doors of K9 Resorts will be open from 11am-2pm for you to check the place out yourself. They're located at 1409 E Kimberly Rd, Davenport, IA 52807.
