Corridor 2018 Dive Bar Tour Kicks Off at Lisbon Bar
For the next 16 weeks, I'm embarking on a tour like no other. There will be plenty of pickled eggs, salted nuts, warm beer, and hopefully some cheap Vodka. It's all part of the "Jaymz Larson 2018 Dive Bar Tour!"
My first stop of the year brought me to the metropolis of Lisbon. The population is just 2,152, yet they have 4 bars in the town. Go figure. The first two places I visited were WAY to fancy. On my third attempt, I found a nice little place that fit the qualifications of my tour.
The name of the place is "Bill's Tap." I wanted to fit in, so I ordered a Hamm's beer along with a Vodka and cranberry. As I took my first sip, the farmer next to me simply said, "good choice, young man." Just like that, I met a new friend!
As I enjoyed my drinks, I noticed a sign on the wall. My friends and I quickly called the bartender over and demanded we play the game! I've never seen anything like it before...we had to try it!
I rolled a 4, and took my mystery shot. It was good, but I still don't know what it was. I'm a big fan of this fun little bar promotion. I just wished we would have stopped after three!
Bill's Tap has some great paintings on the wall. I had to take a snap of this masterpiece. I'm pretty sure it was painted by Bob Ross.
And how about this sign?
Overall, I was very happy with my experience at Bill's Tap in Lisbon. The service was great, the drinks were cheap, and I LOVED the mystery shot game! The next time you're close, stop in and say hello.
I'll be back at a new dive bar next week. If you have a suggestion of a watering hole you would like me to visit, comment below, and we will add it to the list.
I have 15 weeks left, so let's get drinking.....CHEERS!
