Two Different Guys, Two Different Days, Arrested For Same Thing At Airport
If there's one thing we all know at the airport, it's anything regarding the word "bomb" or "gun" or "explode" or even saying you're about to "blow up" the bathroom because of the cheese nachos you had during your layover is not cool. Well, two guys at the same airport a day apart apparently didn't get that memo.
It started Sunday as 52-year-old Osniel Blanco-Lopez was at the ticket counter of Miami International Airport when an American Airlines ticket agent asked him "Do you have any dangerous goods?"
Deputies said Blanco-Lopez said "no," before saying "I have a grenade" in spanish while laughing.
Another ticket agent who was standing nearby told Blanco-Lopez "that is not a joke," before calling the authorities.
Police brought out the bomb detection K-9, and of course, no explosives were found. Blanco-Lopez told officials he was just joking around, but he had to be arrested and jaild on a charge of making a false report about placing a bomb.
Weird It Happened Twice
Then, the very next day, 33-year-old Yoel Guevara-Crespo was going through standard security questions at Miami International when one of the deputies asked “Do you have any lithium batteries or incendiary devices in the bag?”
Guevara-Crespo responded "No, but I have a bomb."
He also would not board the plane, and after being checked out by the K-9, and found no bomb.
He's facing the same charge of making a false report about placing a bomb.
