Two Eastern Iowa Lottery Winners Hit Big Prizes on the Same Day
Talk about a lucky day in Iowa. Two men from eastern Iowa walked away with a combined $350,000 in lottery winnings, and both claimed their prizes on the same day.
Davenport Man Scratches His Way to $100,000
Tony Morrow of Davenport is $100,000 richer after hitting the top prize on an Iowa Lottery scratch ticket.

Morrow purchased a ten-dollar $100,000 Mega Crossword scratch game at Expresslane on Hickory Grove Road in Davenport. After scratching away, he discovered he had landed one of the game's biggest prizes.
He claimed the $100,000 prize Thursday at the Iowa Lottery's Cedar Rapids office.
The crossword-style game has 46 top prizes worth $100,000, along with 92 prizes of $10,000. The overall odds of winning any prize are about 1 in 3.29.
Maquoketa Man Turns $50,000 Into $250,000
Meanwhile, over in Maquoketa, Randall Manning had an even bigger lottery surprise.
Manning matched four of the five regular Powerball numbers plus the Powerball number in the Sept. 23 drawing. That normally would have earned him $50,000.
But Manning had added the Power Play option to his ticket for an extra $1. That turned his $50,000 prize into a whopping $250,000.
His winning ticket was purchased at Casey's on East Platt Street in Maquoketa. He claimed the prize Friday in Cedar Rapids.
Eastern Iowa Had a VERY Lucky Week
Between Morrow and Manning, $350,000 in Iowa Lottery winnings made their way to two eastern Iowa communities.
And honestly, that's a pretty good reminder to check those tickets before tossing them in the junk drawer. You never know when a $10 scratcher or a Powerball ticket could turn into a life-changing little piece of paper.
